Four students are shot and killed by National Guardsmen at Kent State University. Allison Krause, Jeff Miller, and Sandy Scheuer were taking part in a demonstration to protest the recent U.S. invasion of Cambodia. Bill Schoeder, who was enrolled in the school’s Reserve Officer Training Corps program, was walking to class.
